Hoyeah.
I got my mitts on a copy of Final Fantasy VII- Dirge of Cerberus for Ps2. Now I usually don't like action shooter games, but this thing has me addicted. The best thing is I thought it wasn't coming out until November, so when I saw it in the game cabinet yesterday I pressed my hands against the glass and didn't move until Dad came by.
I got some odd looks, yeah, but it was worth it.
Vincent Valentine is likely my absolute favourite FF7 character, so a whole game about him is like gold. Except since I don't like gold, it's more like silver. The graphics are very impressive, the cutscenes rivalling the animation of FF7-AC. The gameplay is easy to get a handle on and the difficulty is reasonable, the customizability of the weapons is very useful, even the training tutorial is fun. The levels are detailed and fun, and the sub-missions add a whole extra level of depth to each level.
Highly recommend picking up this puppy.
Yeah, so I pretty much hate my orthodontist work right now.
I have to wear this thing called a positioner, which locks my teeth into place, now that my braces are off. I can't open my mouth when it's in; they put breathing holes in it for me because I breathe through my mouth. It prevents me from speaking other than 'mfffnfffmffd', and it hurts because it's shifting my teeth some more.
I have to wear this death contraption for 10 days, 24 hours a day unless I'm eating, then after that 14 hours a day for 6 weeks until they finish my retainer, which I'll probably have to wear for a year or so.
Why does it take so long to make a friggin' retainer?
Two in the morning.
Me: *dumb voice* I want my slipper.
Sister: What time is it?
Me: Slipper time.
I'll probably look at that later and realize it was one of those 'you had to be there' things.
You know what hurts like hell? Being pinched by tiny little hermit crab pincers right on the skin between your fingers.
Tomorrow's going to be a big family fest... my grandparents on my mom's side are coming over. I do love my Grandma Dawn, the second half of my name comes from her, as well as my musical prowess. Bless the genes. She's such a nice person and a lot of fun to talk to, especially since I get to explain all the new technology to her. Poor thing needs internet.
In addition to that my uncle, aunt and two baby cousins are coming over as well. Jaden's a little handful, but I'm sure my sister can handle him. Ava is barely crawling so she shouldn't be an issue. I'd like to sit and talk with the adults if I can, rather than keeping the ankle-biters busy. There will be a barbeque out on the back porch which spells good times to me.
Anyhow, adios, until next time. Maybe I'll actually write in this thing more often.

My sister and I went downstairs at 11 PM for a snack. Well, I wanted a snack, anyway.
Me: *looking at a jar of pickles* I would eat some of those if they weren't in a raspberry vinaigrette.
Sister: We have other pickles in the cupboard thing.
Me: ...
Sister: Let's have a pickle fest! =D
Me: Yeah, and wake up with horrible green diarrhea.
I ended up making a cheese sandwich.
My sister blogged this too at http://weasley.mindsay.com .
